My Shoe Collection, Barrett

I have introduced Barrett this brand. Two feelings, one is the long history since 1917, and its prestigious client base, the other is the brand value and price are quite competitive in so many Italian brands.

My pair has a sparkling point even without talking about the above two.

A split toe oxford in tan.

A split toe oxford?! Really? I think people are very familiar with split toe derby, but oxford?

Not a clue!

Do you think the surprise stops here? Wait, look closely how the split toe even the apron turn out?

Maybe you find it out, this pair is Wholecut oxford indeed!

Neither the apron or the split toe, the stitches are only ornament, not to connect the uppers.

My Maftei Anothny braided cap toe tells the same story.

After delving the pattern design, let us dive into the skills, how this faux line was achieved? The upper is cut a line then the stitches go through both sides.

I know if you don’t observe very carefully, it is not obvious, but the meticulous craftsmanship can never be over praised!

The stitches on upper are quite coarse, but it is a must as the pattern would be more prominent.

Blake Stitched with fudge on the sole edge.

which is typical Italian.

The fudge is not bad, however, the edge seems too wide and not exquisite. I feel Italian do not pursue exquisiteness on shoemaking, but innovation, inspiration and eyecatching.

内底里看到的缝线,然后后跟这块皮比较长。这个皮长好还是短好?想请教大神。

The stitch fineness is not so impressive and the heel pad is quite long. I come accross a question, the longer the better or reverse?

From this angle, it is a pair of Italian shoes needs no explanation.

Remark

This pair is not so into me, as the last is somehow sharp while the tan colour does not match my outfit collection, however, this pair is amazing by all means!
