Sweden is the shoe center of this world. I know it is a bold statement, but if you know how many shoe select shops are in this country and Shoegazing blog is from here, you will have some confidence.
I feel quite strange that Sweden is quite cold and without many population and people there are very frugal, why do they need so many quality shoes?
The best and well known entry Goodyear welted shoe brand is Meermin at the price point of 200 USD, Myrqvist targets at the same level. When the founder had this idea, he sought crowdfund on Kickstarter for 100K Swedish Krone, and the target was achieved in 24 hours and the fund was actually 700K Swedish Krone.
There are several features: 1) Sweden design, 2) Made in Portugal, 3) Du Puy leather, 4) Direct to customer.
I do feel the value is exceptional and I want to have one pair to try.

I love their voluminous last and it gives a unique feeling, and the shoes look very solid, I really love it, maybe more than Meermin as Meermin has too many models.
