My Shoe Collection – Maftei Schubert

This is my black Cap Toe Oxford with the highest craftsmanship and the best leather level, but it is not my favorite or most worn one.

I can’t remember exactly how many pairs of black cap toe Oxford I have and how many pairs I have had, but whenever I look at a brand, I will unconsciously look for its black cap toe Oxford to understand the aesthetics of the brand.

I am not so into this pair because of the last and the fit, which gives me a deeper understanding of the logic of the lasts of Chinese and European shoes.

If You Can Only Buy One Model from One Brand

For some brands, this answer is brainless, but for some brands, this choice is simply heartbreaking.

Many dress shoe lovers like to try almost every brand, and I am one of them. This brings us freshness and interesting experience.

Many of these early adopters’ shoes may be shelved or abandoned in the end. How can they be worn for a long time?

The answer is to buy its peerless classic. Classics are not touted and publicized, but are actually voted by every consumer with money.

她是Hilary Freeman。

然而，她的身份，是中兴之主的partner，外国人有时对一对异性称Partner，你懂的。

这位中兴之主，就是匈牙利人John Hlustik。

The Lasts of J.FitzPatrick

J.FitzPatrick has the best aesthetic experience among all shoemakers, at least at its grand price point. Its last were modified from a bespoke last made by Tony Gaziano for Justin FitzPatrick, and you can bet it is super amazing.

Justin expanded the last into 7, with different toe shape, but kept the body and heel. These 7 lasts cover almost any style, and let us have a look.

The Iconic Designs of Shoemakers

Maybe many brands have several peerless classic models, such as Lopez of John Lobb, Andy of Berluti, Arca of Corthay. Even if the brands are not famous by themselves, they all have very attractive styles, such as Decon of Norman Vilalta, Tobar of Septieme Largeur, and Brillantina of Bontoni.

Then my question is, if it is not a style, but a certain feature (excluding the last), can it immediately remind us of a certain brand? For example, for John Lobb, I can’t think of any.
