Clematis is a famous bespoke atelier in Japan, the bespoke shoemaker TAKANO Kentaro used to work in shoe shop Gloucester Road and developed the private label KOKON, and served as inhouse bespoke shoemaker there. Later he set up his own shop Clematis Ginza.

Kenjiro Kawashima is the third place in 2022 shoemaking championship and many shoe enthusiasts know his name long before this contest as he worked with famed bespoke shoemaker Norman Vilalta for some time. Not many know that a big portion of astonishing and breath taking shoes presented by NormanVilalta was designed by Mr. Kawashima. We congratulate him on his achievement in the shoemaking championship and also gaining the reputation he deserves.

If you haven’t heard Patrick Frei this name, I bet you are not a qualified shoe aficionado, to say the least. As the champion of 2018 World Shoemaking Championship, Patrick Frei is one of the top level bespoke shoemakers in the world with everyone’s consent.
His shoes are elegent yet aggressive, artful and inspiring, meticulous yet imaginary.
I think his shoes may speak a lot for him, but everyone admiring him, like me, wants to know more about him.

Masachika Morita is a Japanese bespoke shoemaker who studied and lived in Italy for a long time. He apprenticed under the guide of master Roberto Ugolini and became a assistant of shoemaking in Accademia Riaci where he taught Emi Liao.
With great education and apprentice in bespoke shoemaking, his story deserves more attention and maybe his fame will more known.
