John Lobb City II unboxing

I think I’m a top black three-joint Oxford player, because it used to be my favourite style. Today, it’s still, but it’s unlikely to become my favourite style, because it makes me suit every day, tie, and be serious. I will feel a little out of place with the surroundings. Although, that’s why I’m into classic men’s clothing. I want to be different from the people around me. I want to choose.

But after I had so many black three-joint Oxford, there was a style that has not entered my shoe cabinet, which is City II from John Lobb. What’s the difference between the first generation and the second generation of City? I don’t have any idea yet. I hope someone can give me some advice.

Of course, today I see that John Lobb has long lost his passion and surging. The worship of the brand has disintegrated day by day, but the eyes that return to the essence, once again make me haunted and eager to have, I can indeed see different lustre.

Leather Care Brand – John Lobb

I’ve always been picky about these brands whose main business is not leather care, and I think they are playing, or even worse, like Crocket & Jones, I have caught that they are actually using Saphir for private label.

Of course, there are also those who play with an artistic sense of the shoehorn like Santoni, and John Lobb that we will introduce today is indeed reasonable at a certain point.

My Shoe Collection – Chapel from John Lobb

Chapel is the most sought after Double Monk among John Lobb offerings, and maybe this statement is too moderate, because it could be the most beautiful double monk of all shoes! Chapel is in Prestige collection which has more refined craftsmanship and better leather.

Reconstruct John Lobb Sneaker

I shared my pair of John Lobb x Aston Martin sneaker, in that article I mentioned last 8695 is too sharp for a sneaker. I don’t have the capability to change the last, but I can change the Construction! I hesitated not and deconstructed the glued rubber sole and planned to change it to Blake stitch construction.

My Shoe Collection – John Lobb x Aston Martin Sneaker

Welted shoes are a small category in shoe industry, so its exposure is neglectable. When streetwear teamed up with high street fashion to catch eyeballs, this kind of promotion is rarely seen in this niche market. The first crossover into my mind is Santoni x AMG, and the second is less known but between two more premium English brands, John Lobb x Aston Martin.

The cooperation released two models, one is classic dress shoes, the other sneaker.
