Unboxing Iconic Loafer 180 from J.M.Weston

The number 1 national brand in France. I asked a couple of French friends who basically don’t wear dress shoes, and they all have heard of J.M. Weston and said they would be very interested in buying the brand if it wasn’t that expensive.

My impression of J.M. Weston was very good in two ways. One is that model 180, 598 and even 677 are the most iconic ones in dress shoe community; and the other is that the shoes are very well made.

Unboxing Iconic Loafer 726 from Saint Crispin‘s

Austrian shoes are known all over the world thanks to Saint Crispin’s. In the early days of the spread of dress shoe information, most people knew luxury English shoemakers such as John Lobb, Edward Green and Gaziano & Girling, then Berluti in France. Corthay and Aubercy were not discussed online at the time. There are many Italian brands, but if there was a lot of discussion about which one, it was probably Silvano Lattanzi. Unboxing Unlined Piccadilly from Edward Green

Edward Green is the last destination for many dress shoe lovers, mainly because of two points, one, the conservative last and “boring” upper pattern, and second, the high-quality leather.

Based on this feature, Edward Green’s Cap Toe Oxford, Chelsea has always topped the list. As for Dover, Galway and the like are just new celebrities.

When it comes to Loafer, Edward Green is actually not shy at all. Penny Loafer Piccadilly and Duke, and tassel loafer Belgravia are all familiar models. It’s just that many people have a concept that the more formal the shoes, the more worth spending a lot of money, the more casual the style, you can wear cheaper ones, so that Edward Green’s loafer is not very popular.

Unlined is a very popular Loafer element in recent years, and not only on Loafers, Galway’s ankles are unlined.

Let’s take a look at what special details are in this pair of shoes.
