The private label of the very famous English online shoeshop, Pediwear.

It is a universal trend all over the world that shoe shops push their private label. The business logic is they know what brands and models they carry sell best, then they find a cheaper supply chain to copy them and grab the share.

I don’t want to discuss whether it is moral or not, constraining into shoes, the brands they carry directly dictate the private label’s quality and aesthetics.

Pediwear is quite decent on this topic as they carry Crockett & Jones and now defunct Alfred Sargent. So this brand should be promising, at least on the paper.

There are five collections, it is too many for a new brand in my opinion.

Shell Cordovan Collection uses Cordovan from an English tannery, shoes made in UK and cost 650 GBP.

Principal Collection, the focused seller, shoes made in UK and Spain, cost 300 GBP.

Contemporary Collection, made by Berwick, cost 190 GBP, good price.

Country Collection, made by Barker and Carlos Santos, charge 350 to 400 GBP.

Professional Collection, entry level made in India, price at 180 GBP.

The highest Principle is even worse than Contemporary collection.

Let us have review of its models, no distinguishing of the collections.

Remark

Since most of the shoes mark with the manufacturer, what is the point of this private label brand? Why not just put Barker for Pediwear which is more well known and reputable.
