Model Archive – Scotch Grain

The most accessible dress shoes in Japan, maybe its share is even higher than Regal.

Founded in 1964 to make shoes for US and English brands who just want to make money without worrying about anything about the products.

In 1978, own brand Scotch Grain hit the market.

The word means the lovable grain leather by country boots.

In the beginning, cost was everything and the construction is cement and Blake. But the owner thought cost cannot be low in Japan in the long run, so he moved to Goodyear construction and stopped all private label business in 2000.

Four collections: top level Excutive, premium Imperial, the other two lower collections name is ambiguous.

I only collect the models regardless its belongings.

Remark

From its history, we can guess how their own models look like, in my eyes, they are 90% American and 10% English. The daring designs are not very impressive.

Imperial price is around 480 USD. I may not patronize.
