Unboxing Unique Double Monk Corliss from J.FitzPatrick

Another pair of shoes that are rare in the world, deriving from the genius design of Justin FitzPatrick. Come on and take a look.

Unboxing

Watermelon red shoebox.

Model name Corliss, last TMG, the small round toe and width F. Leather is plum museum clashed with burgundy Scotch Grain. Size UK6.

Last

The most welcomed TMG has a harmonious small round head.

F width is not the standard width which is E, to make it more suitable for wider feet, the enlarging must be harmonious which means both toe and forefeet needs to reshape accordingly and proportionally.

Pattern

We have seen a lot of double monks but putting buckles on both sides is unheard of. Change the angel and you will have a more intense shock!

It feels like the alien is flying over the face. Note the two pieces above the tongue of the shoe, they feel like Derby. Can this be said to be a layer of Monk over the Derby?

It’s not all good, like this angle, it’s like being blindfolded and ready to sleep. Or having a plaster put on your face.

Construction

Neat fudge wheeling but the welt seems a little wide.

Outsole

I don’t think the sole is a great experience, because the channel hosting stitches is too visible.

The toe copper nails are an alternative to toe plate although the very front end of the toe will still wear, the stitches are protected.

Leather

The same color but with different leathers and textures is Justin loves to play. Scotch Grain is a rugged leather on Monks and Oxfords and not much seen. This bright color makes it more interesting.

By my first sight, I mistook this for black, is this plum museum leather too dark?

Looking at leather edge, it is indeed fully dyed plum red.

Details

Cuban Heel is an imitation of Chinese leather shoes brand OCT TENTH. Is this angle a bit too much? Or Oct TENTH is too popular abroad, Justin is jealous and chose to follow suit?
