The name is quite misleading that many may think it is Japanese, the fact is Fugashin is a Vietnamese shoe brand. It is very alike the Indian brand Bridlen, both invested by Japanese.
It has been producing private label for Japanese brands since 1989, in 2000 this factory formed a joint venture with a Japanese company, not only makes shoes for Japanese brands, but also brands in Canada, France and Germany.
In 2014, the factory felt it is mature enough to release its own brand, Fugashin.
Although it is not clearly mentioned, it seems to have two levels of construction, the premium one looks:
As its deep root in Japanese taste, the shoes are conservative and well proportioned, however the price significantly increases in recent two years, it sits at 400 USD.

lace-ups and monks are quite boring, however boots and loafers are so aggressive and well designed, I love them.
