Model Archive – R.M.Williams

The best dress shoe brand in Australia, but this best is almost meaningless as no peer is around.

Founded in 1932 to make durable and sturdy boots for this wild country.

R.M. William, the founder met cowboy Dollar Mick and learnt leather skill from the latter, after that, Mr. William made the determination to make leather goods.

His first deal was selling a handmade saddle to a farmer which ballooned his confidence and opened a shop in Adelaide, 1934.

R.M.Williams boots are functional and made with a whole piece of leather which is more durable.

In 2010, R.M.Williams sold some shares to Capital Asia which is a subsidiary of LVMH, in Oct. 2014 the whole company was owned by L Capital (Part of LVMH).

2016, the actor Hugh Jackman became the shareholder of R.M.Williams.

Remark

The iconic boots have a lot of variants which is not a bad thing, but the last is not so impressive and other models see no chance.
