Clothes and City

What color should I wear for a suit?

I Believe you have seen too many interpretations to this question on the internet, and the answers are very unified and uncontroversial. Navy blue is the first, then dark gray.

This answer is definitely right, but when we get a concise answer, we seldom think about its premise.

The premise of this answer is the office and business environment. These two colors give people the impression that they are reliable and safe.

I have a very personal experience, wearing a dark gray suit to visit an ancient town, which is very inconsistent.

Why would it be wrong? Because the premise was broken.

So my question is what colour we should wear if we want to give people a more harmonious feeling, rather than being out of tune with the environment?

The answer is particularly simple: blend with the city.

How did I suddenly realize?

It’s a picture.

This is a promotional picture posted by PITTI UOMO on Instagram. PITTI UOMO was originally a trade fair, but today it is more well known as a place for peacock men.

PITTI UOMO is held in Florence, which is not a city famous for its fashion, but it definitely occupies a place in classic menswear.

Speaking of suits in Florence, enthusiasts can name many masters, such as Liverano, Francesco Guida, CorCos and Antonio Paone, but if you say what is the most common or classic color of Florence clothes.

The answer is brown, at the very least, it is the fabric with brown as the main color and base.

I didn’t understand why until I saw this picture.

Overlooking the city, the colour of the roof is so consistent that it can be called Mocca, and the background colour of the picture highlights this colour feature.

With such a good example, I believe we can answer this question easily.

The clothes colour should be consistent with the environment.

For example, if you go to the CBD today, you might as well be bold and have some more exciting colors.

If you want to go outdoors and camp today, you might give priority to green or brown (earth).

If we search a panoramic view of a city, the greening of China cities is very good, so the most incongruous colour is green.
