An Interview with Tailor SHI Jingwei

Wee and I have known each other for many years, and he has handled hundreds of times more shoes than me. After he opened the Shanghai branch of Coller, a Hong Kong custom-made shop, he also tried it. Coller’s positioning is still very interesting, the outpost of young Asian tailors in Europe. Then, he changed from manager to tailor, which surprised me very much.

Of course, the manager needs some professional knowledge, but becoming a craftsman is not a commercial choice at least. So, why?

Get to know Shi Jingwei with me. This is the first time that we have interviewed him since we met for so many years.

An Interview with Tailor Maste Xu

Maste Xu is a tailor known to many lovers, because the clothes he provides are extremely cost-effective. There are many brands with good prices in Taobao now, but the level can be compared with MasterXu, especially in PK.

The Chinese Shoemakers I Like

It seems that the stage of China sewing shoe brands springing up like mushrooms after rain has come to an end, which may be related to the prosperity and decline of the international sewing shoe trend to some extent.

You may wonder, since the selling point of this category is classic eternity, why is there such a trend?

Review of A Pair of RayKwok Derby

This is the reader who sent me his shoes for me to evaluate.

Because RayKwok was born in work clothes, most of the shoes are not in line with my aesthetics. So I never bought his shoes.

When the article came out, because there were many praises for RayKwok, I was severely sprayed.

Everyone has a very bad reputation for RayKwok, saying that shoes are worn and hard, which is still in terms of products. What’s worse is stealing pictures, especially the pictures of people drying Alden on Ins.

Later, naturally, it won’t be mentioned again, but there are always many readers who started RayKwok with into the pit. From this perspective, RayKwok is also full of merits.

So much gossip. Let’s take a look at these shoes.

The Tailors I used

I share a list every year. At the beginning, I asked some big names to grade and comment on me, and I, like other readers, followed the map and punched in one by one. Later, I joined the judges myself and wrote comments.

Because of my limited financial strength, unlike many big bosses who buy five sets of 10 sets in one store, my personal experience is also biased. For example, there is an old English saying that if you are not ready to place an order for the second time, don’t place it for the first time. Because customization is definitely running-in.

It is not terrible to admit that you are biased. Personal experience is only a case of reference value and cannot be used as induction to draw conclusions. But if there are a large number of cases, then a probabilistic conclusion can be made.

I’m very sorry that I haven’t cooperated with photographers frequently, so many of them don’t have pictures. I hope I can make them up in the future.

Let’s sort it alphabetically.

An Interview with ZHANG Tianhao, Founder of Tailoring House Athoss

I’ve been hoping to introduce customized shops or tailors all over the country who focus on products to everyone. The root cause is that this is a local business, and more frequent exchanges can bring better products and experiences.

This time, it happened that this tailor from Tianjin filled a gap in a city and helped me to light up a city with one store and one city, Tianjin.

And his background and working experience are more interesting.

Let’s learn about Zhang Tianhao’s story.

The Chinese Shoemaker, Lvcheng

Lvcheng is not a new brand, nor am I ignorant. In fact, as early as 2019, when I summarized the Chinese shoemakers, I had already paid attention to Lvcheng. At that time, I had a very good impression on his brand name interpretation. “Your shoes, My sincerity”, which really came from the hometown of Confucius and Mencius.
