A shoe factory based in Northampton was founded in 1881, very long history. At its heyday, it produced massive quantity for English military.
As the entry level brands, when other countries caught up with shoemaking, take an example, Spain and Portugal, it closed to bankruptcy in 2006. The land was predated by property developer and almost sold. Luckily a veteran took over.
The reborn brand is quite cheap among all English shoes, price at 180 to 200 GBP.
The same factory hosts another brand, Solovair. There will be another article to introduce it.
Let us review its models first.
Remark
The lasts are updated to contemporary taste and models are still classic. Not a bad choice!
