Recently, Oct Tenth has been recruiting, and several sets of beautiful pictures of upgraded products have been released to public. In response to the call of an enthusiasts coming back from Australia, we went to the new workshop in Jinshan.
This environment with floor-to-ceiling windows is definitely a big upgrade compared to the dark factory building in Minhang where the big wolf dog was watching on the first floor.
Since it is a workshop, I still took a picture of the process to give you a little memory.
The first step, of course, is to choose the leather.
If Xibao still has any passion for making shoes now, it is to hoard leather. When she brought out bundles of leather, it was as if she had many limited edition watches to show off.
The strong man from the Australia behind her also showed a shy and coveted smile.
There are also museum calves in a large number of colors.
The next step is to cut the leather into the shape that will be needed on the upper later. Seeing a piece of crocodile skin on it here, I believe the pattern would be a combination of calf and this piece.
Here is the sewn upper leather with an inner lining leather, and between the two skins, it is attached with glue.
This brand new machine is used to stretch the leather on the last.
Once the upper is shaped, the process of making bottom begins. The first is handwelting.
Then fill cork and a leather shank, and sand.
After the outsole is stitched on, the leather edge is glued back to achieve the effect of hiding the stitches.
The next step is to mount the heel and then polish.
Then there’s finishing.
So many people are at this workstation, waxing or coloring shoes. Several key persons all present, such as Wen Tao on the left, the best cobbler in China. Zhang Fei, wearing a mask and black clothes, a cowman with patina, and the nightclub prince on the far right, the true director of this brand (husband of Xibao).
How important is Changzhang (plant manager in Chinese, the nickname for Xibao’s husband)? What does he do every day?
Shine shoes from morning to night. Everyone wanted to see how good he was at waxing, and then found that it was very average.
If there are too many stupid men on the Internet who claim they know everything, then the Australian Tuwang is an exception who really knows everything inside out about shoemaking, maybe Daniel Wegan has to consult him. When he started talking about shoes, you listen. The factory director, Wen Tao, and Xi Bao suddenly became so nervous.
Because the official has released wonderful photos, I only took two, indicating that the completion of the product has climbed again.
This is the detail of the broken heel and heel finishing.
This is the coloring of the sole, and the little details of the edges.
As I’ve said many times, for people who appreciate something, it’s these details that makers think while you didn’t expect, that brings a better experience, and this is the decisive point.
The Australian Tuwang said, Oct Tenth, King’s Choice.
