The Italian Shoemaker Who Makes Dunhill Shoes, Sturlini

Although the current brand says Florence, the company was actually established in a small town in Tuscany. It has always been the main producing area of Italian cowhide.

In 1967, Rolando Sturlini set up this brand in a small town, using the most mainstream Blake construction in Italy, and then, only making loafers. Every member of the family workshop has a division of labor.

In the 1980s, a British luxury company asked them to make private label. There are few luxury shoes in Britain. A Burberry and a Dunhill. So, if Dunhill shoes writes Made in Italy, it’s probably this one.

By the end of 1990s, as the volume went up, Sturlini became ambitions to expand, so moved the headquarter to Florence and started to open up the international market.

In order to tell a story, the brand says that in the 15th century, the Sturlini family made shoes for the Medici family, and from that time, they had knowledge and secrets about leather.

At present, the price of shoes is about 250-350 euros, all of which are Blake construction. Leather likes washing leather, and the overall feeling is very fashionable.

Everyone has an opinion about this poster.

There are counters in China.

I have seen some washed leather shoes in Italian brands, which seems to be a big market, and I like this type. It seems that they are rich and often drive to Tibet.

The workmanship of shoes is really not worthy of the price of 350 euros.

Every brand has its own direction and target, and so does my blog. It’s just for my peers, and I don’t want to attack this brand. I hope those who like it as much as me don’t get on the wrong boat.
