What Is London Lounge Cloth

This moniker certainly has a prominent place in bespoke tailoring, but only known by few people.

Simply put, this is a high-end collection of bespoke fabrics for tailoring.

Simon Crompton of PermanentStyle also sells some custom woven fabrics on his website, which could be considered an homage to the London Lounge.

London Lounge is a menswear website founded by Englishman Michael Alden, and in its Cloth Club sub-section there are many ‘archaeologists’.

They felt that all the current fabrics were too light and Italian, and they wanted to revisit the glory of proper English fabrics, so they looked for the old atlases, and then asked Michael Alden to find the fabrics to go on the custom weave.

These fabrics are generally very heavy.

The most important aspect is that it is not available on the market and can only be obtained by this coterie.

If you say the fabric of your suit is a London Lounge collection, you obtain high prestige in the community. Because it’s not about money, by peer recognition.

Of course, now we have something similar, Huizhou Lounge, which I call the Huizhou Hair Salon.

Also some bespoke fabrics, I’ve got a couple of them and finished making into suit. I’ll give a rundown later.
