An Amazing Work from Vietnamese Shoemaker

Ichigo Ichie is the brand of Vietnamese shoemaker LEE Trung.

My perception of Vietnamese shoemakers (including brands) is that the aesthetic literacy is quite good, but the shoes are not fine. And this kind of lack of fineness is likely to be not only what we can see on shoes, but also the internal structure and shoe-making logic.

When we focus on the good side, the aesthetic creativity of Vietnamese shoemakers, because of their deep connection with France, is extremely powerful.

For example, when I was looking at patina, I learned that the level of the Vietnamese brand CNES is very high, and the creativity also dares to be the first.

This pair of shoes from Ichigo Ichie makes people deeply feel the impact of aliens.

The gap cut through the upper, and the long tongue of the shape reminds people about the horror.

The stitched snakeskin continues to increase the wild connotation.

On top of the overall shape, there seems to be some Japanese written on the upper, which makes wildness collide with civilisation.

In a word, this pair of shoes is indeed an artistic creation, but it has very little to do with classic dress shoes.

Of course, it has the value of appreciation when used as a handicraft. For wear, I have to think twice.
