Although the tie is not easy to get dirty, it is frequently used, so the chance of getting dirty is not small. Let’s see how to clean it.
The cleaning of silk is not easy, because this material is more delicate than wool, so it is divided into three levels.
Water
Never underestimate water, it is definitely the best and safest cleaning liquid. Do not soak luxury clothes in water directly, but treat stains with water in a small area.
For silk ties, we must first see if they will fade. Dip a cotton ball in water and try it on the back of the tie to make sure the color won’t come off.
Wet the dirty place with a wetter cotton ball, and then rub it like washing clothes, but not too hard. This is a bit better for silk than wool. Smooth fabrics are not easy to be sanded.
This way is very good for the dirty spot that has just been stained.
Vinegar
White vinegar is also a recommended cleaning solution, because it is pure natural and has no harm to fabrics. Although it is weakly acidic, it is still acidic, so it needs to be diluted. Generally speaking, one part of white vinegar and two parts of water are enough. After the mixture is coated on the stain, wait for about 2 or 3 minutes to allow it to react with the stain, and then use the towel to absorb water, and the stain can be sucked away by the towel.
If this doesn’t work, you can increase the concentration to one to one. If it still doesn’t work, you can only choose the next one.
Alcohol
Alcohol is mainly effective for organic stains, such as oil, but remember to dilute it.
