If You Can Only Buy One Model from One Brand

For some brands, this answer is brainless, but for some brands, this choice is simply heartbreaking.

Many dress shoe lovers like to try almost every brand, and I am one of them. This brings us freshness and interesting experience.

Many of these early adopters’ shoes may be shelved or abandoned in the end. How can they be worn for a long time?

The answer is to buy its peerless classic. Classics are not touted and publicized, but are actually voted by every consumer with money.

By country then sorted alphabetically.

France

Aubercy

None

The shoes are not well known or seen in the world. The even bigger problem is that every upper design is amazing, and then the last is chic and beautiful. So there is no way to recommend which one.

Berluti

Alessandro

Berluti has two peerless classics, Andy and Alessandro. It is really difficult to make a choice. And under the current wave of leisure, Andy’s sales are definitely higher than Alessandro. But don’t think that Andy is more classic than Alessandro. Andy was made for Andy Warhol, an American pop artist active in the 1970s, while Alessandro was created by Alessandro Berluti, the founder of Berluti, at the end of 19th century!

Corthay

Arca

Corthay uses Arca to conquer the world. I think 70% of this success lies in the last Pullman and 30% in the upper design. There are many varieties of Arca such as Arca Monk, but if you can only buy a pair of Corthay, you must choose the most original two eyelet Derby.

John Lobb

Lopez

Please remember, as a finished shoe brand, the history of John Lobb only started in the 1970s. Although there was no Lopez in the four styles that were originally manufactured by Italian Bonora, once the production was fixed in the UK, Lopez became the core style. Of course, the competitors are City, William and Philip, but Lopez wins.

J.M.Weston

180

Another brand that is very difficult to choose, 180 Penny Loafer, 598 Demi Chasse, 541 Golf, and the epitome of J.M.Weston, 677 Chasse, are all good things. But 180 has become the real leader of Ivy style.

Septieme Largeur

Tobar

The price of this French brand is quite affrodable, and it is developing very well now. When it comes to classic styles, it is really not well known. Tobar is its worldwide brand signature, unique three-button monk boots.

UK

Church’s

None

I can name several Church’s peerless classic models: Consul, Chetwynd, Shanghai and Shannon. But which is the undisputed best seller, I don’t know.

Crockett & Jones

None

I think this is a problem for Crockett & Jones. Speaking of this brand, can we think of some styles? Of course, Pembroke, Connaught, Alex, Sydney, Cavendish, but which one is crazily sought after by eeveryone? None.

Edward Green

Dover

There are too many styles of Edward Green are sought after, Piccadilly, Belgravia, Chelsea, Berkeley, Dover and Galway.

Among them, Chelsea, Dover and Galway can be considered to be at the top of the wish list of Oxford, Derby and Boots. So these three styles have been copied crazy by other brands.

It’s really hard to choose, but only one chance is given, and that’s Dover.

Gaziano & Girling

St James II

Gaziano & Girling’s lasts are too aggressive, which I don’t like, but it is really a very strong shoemaking brand, which is reflected in its workmanship being the best in the best machine Goodyear shoes in Europe, with super high-level last and upper design.

There are many beautiful and eye-catching models, and St James II is the first hit, which is deeply rooted in people’s hearts.

Joseph Cheaney & Son

None

The brand Cheaney may have spent a lot of energy on the OEM business, so the labeling of its products is extremely weak.

Loake

Aldwych

I didn’t expect that Loake can contribute a classic model. Cap Toe Oxford, the most boring style, but it is the most worth buying among all Loake shoes.

Austria

Saint Crispin’s

None

I know too little about this brand, and then it is similar to Aubercy, most of the designs are beautiful and difficult to choose.

Zonkey Boot

None

For the same reason with Saint Crispin’s. Even the two owners are families.

Italy

Antonio Meccariello

None

ShirtingFantasy should answer this question.

Bontoni

Brillantina

Bontoni is an undervalued brand, or too focused on the American market, and has not been widely known and exposed in other parts of the world.

This upper design, even the brand Bontoni went extinct, stays in our heart forever.

Enzo Bonafe

None

If the shoes Enzo Bonafe makes for Aubercy count, the most classic one should be the button boots. Similarly, because it has always been satisfied with OEM, it has not been very focused on launching its own signature models.

Stefano Bemer

Saddle Oxford

Saddle Oxford was originally a representative of the United States. Stefano Bemer took the prototype of its contrast color and shape, and improved the artistic level of this shoe by 10 grades through a sharper last and a more streamlined saddle shape.

Spain

Carmina

910

The number of Carmina styles is staggering, and the upper design is featureless. I can’t get the sales data, but 910 should be the most well-known.

Meermin

101198

Meermin, like other Spanish brands, likes to pile up countless and featureless styles. It is extremely difficult to create a classic model with such scattered power. 101198 is a staple piece imitating Edward Green Chelsea.

TLB Mallorca

I’m quite sure that the iconic shoes of TLB are this pair of Oxford, but I don’t know its style number.

Portugal

Carlos Santos

Elliot

I don’t think there is anything special about this penny loafer, but it is what most people buy.

US

Alden

563

This is probably the most difficult one on this list. PTB, Tanker, Indy, Short Wing, U-tip, whichever one comes out, the number of die-hard fans can drown other brands.

Fortunately, I only need the shoes matching suits, 563 satisfies me.

Allen Edmonds

Park Avenue

At present, this brand has no sound volume anywhere in the world except in the United States, because the cost performance is not good, and the aesthetics of the US has never been good.

Park Avenue, a Cap Toe Oxford, once again explains the undisputed position of this style in the field of formal shoes.

Then, you have to sigh, Americans just have the ability to make shoes so ugly.

Grant Stone

Diesel Boot

Although this is a new brand, produced in Xiamen, China, several styles have already shown the potential of peerless classics. Traveller Loafer, Diesel Boot and Brass Boot are all catchy, and they already have a considerable number of fans.

Diesel Boot wins.

China

Badia

Chubby Loafer

Badia is now regarded as a Loafer brand. At first, the horse-bit loafer was the best seller, and now it is this chubby loafer.

Mattina

Elgar

This is brought by the sales data. I have also read special articles, and many uppers of Mattina are very distinctive. But there is no way, the consumer has the final say.

Oct Tenth

Joffre

Oct Tenth is the favorite of shoe lovers all over the world. In the era of OEM, I am afraid that the number of styles will not be lost to Spanish brands, and they are all more design-oriented.

At the stage of making its own brand, the fixed style is really unexpected. The best seller is a pair of Edward Green Chelsea. It’s really unexpected.
