My Shoe Collection – Antonio Meccariello Chukka Boot

This pair of suede Chukka boots became my rain boots for unknown reason. When I went to Europe on business, I only wore a pair of shoes and walked in the streets in a rainstorm which is why I relied on it.

When I looked at it carefully today, I found that these shoes are really awesome.

Let us check it out.

Last

Antonio Meccariello is a very British Italian shoe. How English? Because its Italian elongated elements have been weakened a lot.

Generally speaking, boots, in order to match the height of the boot tube, can be or should be elongated a little, but the taste is correct, and the aesthetic feeling of this pair of last is harmonious.

Pattern

Chukka boots with three eyelets. In this style, the design points are generally in the edge shape of two pieces of leather on both sides of shoelaces.

In addition to the shape of this edge, this pair has two decorative stitches. I love this small detail to increase aesthetic feeling.

Leather

Castorino suede from Italian tannery Zonta, a Reverse Calf.

Many people may think, isn’t the back of all suede leather grain?

The answer is no, most suede leather is not top grain, the reverse of suede leather is suede leather, surprise?

The most famous suede leather is Janus of Charles F. Stead and Castorino of Zonta, both of which have short fluff and good toughness (this is the biggest performance difference between the first leather and the second leather). Janus pays more attention to luster and satin texture, while Castorino is more fleshy and firm.

Craftsmanship

This is the highlight of this pair of shoes.

At first glance, I felt that the welt was grinded very close to the upper, which was really awesome. Can I have a closer look? No stitching, just pressing? This is Blake construction? But doesn’t Antonio Meccariello focus on Goodyear and handwelting? I’m not sure if there is Blake, but I shouldn’t use it on boots.

Take a closer look, there seems to be something on the fudge! It turns out that the stitches totally match the fudge! The design is really meticulous, for the purpose of making the shoes look more exquisite.

The waist of the shoe is not ambiguous at all, and it is arc-shaped with broken heel elements. It’s really not easy to see so many elements on a pair of boots.

Details

This boot gives me a deep experience, that is, the boot tube is better than the lining. Because when moving, the package with lining feels better, but when moving, sometimes the lining will be a little stiff.

I can see that there is an obvious horizontal stripe on the lining. I’m not sure, but I feel that there is no difference between the upper and lower floors.

Argentum collection is already top notch, and you can guess how good Aurum collection is.

Summary

Another pair of exquisite Italian shoes that inexplicably became my choice for beaters.
