I was at Roiluxe Shanghai over the weekend filming TikTok and overheard the little objects Badia had set up over there.
While I knew earlier that Badia had periodic Trunk Shows that offered MTO services, I didn’t realise that this MTO seemed to go a step further.
When it comes to MTO, the first thing that comes to mind is the leather options, and Badia offers a lot more than I thought it would, and the joy of touching the leather swatches is probably even more fun than looking at the fabric swatches.
Although I feel like I appreciate shoes quite a bit, the world of leather is so vast and fascinating.
Model choice is definitely expected, but medallion patterns are particularly nice to have such a visual form for people to choose from.
If I added a medallion to the apron centre of penny loafers, would it be awesome as hell?
This is what I mean by advanced MTO, because if you use this last as an example, it means that all these parts can be added or subtracted, which is equivalent to MTM service.
It’s so visual and pleasing to the eye in this form.
JIANG Daoyuan, the founder of Badia is indeed a very subtle person, for example, what colour the soles are made to be, with little pieces of leather like this, is particularly lovely and intuitive.
I can’t help but order it when I see how playable it is.
