My Shoe Collection – 101430 from Meermin

I have unboxed this pair, so I will focus more on leather quality, fit and comfort, then the outfit idea for Taupe colour.

Leather

This review is after 10 plus wears. Walking is not too long while the road is quite harsh with a lot of stones.

Upper

I put on Renovateur on the new shoes, slight wax on the toe.

The first wear to the office. Crease and oil feeling were great, and I was very satisfied.

After one day wear, upper leather of left foot.

Right pair. The crease is wonderful.

After 10 wears. The shoes may seem a little tired, while the creases are very fine.

This pair of Meermin sourced museum leather from Italian tannery Zonta, I feel the overall feeling is slightly inferior to Ilcea.

Leather Sole

Chestnut veg tanned leather sole.

One day wear was already tough on the sole. Note that the logo of Meermin is in the forefoot and it was gone just in one day.

Wear on the toe was even more severe and I was worried how long this sole can endure.

After 10 wears, the sole looked almost the same as one wear, and the edge was even more sound after I conditioned it with Leather Honey.

The toe didn’t get worse.

So the angle was just like this, and the stitches should be safe.

This case is showing the wear of the toe, and I usually have my shoes toe plated.

Fit and Comfort

Break In

Breaking in Meermin shoes are hard as common sense. I don’t feel the same on this pair. In the first 4 wears, little toe felt pressure at the beginning, but after 50 steps or so, the feeling disappeared.

Fit

E width of last Rois is quite fit for me, snug but not tight. In the afternoon, instep is quite painful even after ten wears.

Outfit Ideas

I tried this pair with grey, light pink and navy trousers.

I can confess the colour is versatile and does not conflict with various colours.

Conclusion

At this price point, I really don’t think Meermin cannot be ranked No. 1.
