Badia Is Getting Better

As a brand, Badia is becoming more and more mature. The brand that used to be supported by JIANG Daoyuan alone now has a team. I am very happy to see that no matter it is in terms of products, positioning, or business mode, they have gone their own way.

First of all, Badia currently has two product lines, one is Blake construction, and the price is 1500 RMB, the lightweight Loafers, such as his current core style, horsebit loafer are in this product line. At the same time, the big round toe Loafer also straddles this product line and another higher-end product line.

Another product line is handwelted. This is very interesting, most classic shoe brands choose Goodyear welted construction as cornerstone, then expand to include Blake and handwelted construction to cover more customers in different price points.

Badia just skips the mainstay. I have to say that it can be regarded as differentiated competition.

On top of specification and value, Badia’s products also have more and more brand attributes, in other words, they have core models. The horsebit loafer mentioned above is of course one, and the big chubby toe loafer is counted as another one. Then the reverse stitched split toe Derby is the third one, and the tassel loafer coming out very early is one.

I believe that several other styles will also join the rank. Once this rank is expanded, the survive of the brand is reassured, and more daring models certainly pop out.

Lastly, Badia now focuses on MTO service. This is related to Daoyuan’s continuous creative passion.

For example, let’s take a look at the shoes that Badia showed off at the 2023 China Trunk Show.

For example, this pair of big round toe loafers, from left to right, are made of brown calf leather, black smooth leather with black suede leather, pebble grain and deer skin. Just such a style, there are almost unlimited ways to play, I want to ask you if you are moved.

The leather combination of this pair of reverse stitched split toe derby is even more surprising, from left to right, Janus suede, peccary leather, pin grain leather, and black boxcalf.

The last is clearly Badia’s slender style.

If the above two styles make you think of other brands, the following pair of tassel loafers that first came out is definitely original.

The leather is relatively not so special, this design that combines the dual elements of penny loafer and tassel loafer, but only makes those who understand it smile, is what I regard the correct degree of innovation.

This plain toe derby, which was only released in the first half of this year, is designed with decorative stitching on the ears on both sides of the laces, like a bird’s head.

On these three-eyelets Chukka boots, Daoyuan’s design is more radical, right pair is made of Kudu leather, the other pair seems to be red peccary leather collided with red suede leather, the prominence attribute is full.

The pair of single-button Monk Loafer at the farthest is also one of the earliest styles of Badia, and it is also my personal favorite.

Summary

Badia’s MTO service makes you piqued?
